We are on a Mission

Meet was initially conceptualized by Vish Srivastava during his second-year project for Harvard's Design Engineering program. He aimed to work in the education space in India and discussed his idea with a Lucknow-based NGO Medha's co-founder, Chris Turillo. Coincidentally, around the same time Ankit Chugh, an engineer and an edtech social entrepreneur, reached out to Chris hoping to get collaboration for his consultancy and eventually Ankit also joined Meet as a co-founder. Through several rounds of research in Lucknow, they established Meet as a company.

 

One of the early inspirations for Meet came from a conversation with a retail floor associate named Krishna, who worked in a mall in Lucknow. Krishna revealed that all the workers in the mall meet for chai every day to exchange information about their salaries and working conditions, leading to better pay negotiations and job switches. This conversation sparked the idea of creating an online platform that allows jobseekers and employees to share information and help each other, symbolized by Meet's chai cup logo.

Meet's objective is to connect the youth with verified employers in their area through a spam-free and enjoyable job search experience. We are a team for the youth and by the youth. Transparency, respect, empathy, diversity, and inclusiveness are some of our core values.
